Held each year on Father’s Day weekend, the Keweenaw Chain Drive is a poker run with three course lengths: short, long, and adventure. Mark your calendar for Saturday, June 15, 2024, with the first start at 9 am.
Each route has multiple poker chip stations at random locations. The best poker hands will win various prize packages. The ride is free to enter and donationals are welcome during the registration process (or anytime on the Hancock Trails Club website). Registration, maps and information on time slots can be found on the RunSignUp web site here. https://runsignup.com/Race/MI/Hancock/KeweenawChainDrive
The event is self-supported, with no aid stations. Courses are marked but you navigate the course on your own and there are no sweeps. The short and long courses take place within the Maasto Hiihto/Churning Rapids trails, while the adventure course includes Maasto/Churning, as well as a trip to Calumet and a ride on the Swedetown trails.
