Luminary Ski Slated December 26

The Hancock Trails Club will host its annual post-Christmas Candle Luminary Trail December 26, 2023, from 6-8 pm. Don't miss the most magical two hours of the winter season at Maasto Hiihto when the 2km St. Urho's Trail is lit for its entire length. All are welcome - skiers (classic style), snowshoers, snow bikers, and walkers. We want to encourage everyone, including families with small children, to join us.

If the snow doesn't build by then, the luminaries will still be out for walkers to enjoy. There is no charge, although a donation is suggested to keep the tradition going.

The event starts at the Four Season Chalet at the Hancock Recreation Area (Driving Park). The club will provide hot chocolate and guests are encouraged to bring treats to share. For more information or to volunteer, contact Mark Roberts (906-482-3092; mroberts@mtu.edu).
