Barnelopet

The annual Barneløpet (Norwegian for “kids’ race”) will take place Sunday, February 9, 2025, hosted especially for the community’s youngest skiers. The noncompetitive event includes marked courses of 1, 2, 4, and 6km, all starting at the Hancock Recreation Area (Driving Park) trailhead. Parents are encouraged to ski along if they wish. Registration begins at 1:00 pm and the event fun kicks off at 2 pm on the trails.
The event is free for those ages 3-17. Each participant receives a medallion, and the Four Seasons Chalet will be open with hot cocoa and snacks.
